Play In A Day

This Play in a Day is for up to 35 KS2 or 3 pupils. The pupils will work with a facilitator throughout the day and have the opportunity to share a short performance to an audience of their choice at the end of the day.

"Cor blimey Guv'nor!" This fast-paced trip around Victorian England takes us from life in the workhouses to the first home of Dr Barnados.

We touch on the influence of Darwin, the introduction of a police force and the struggles faced by those in sickness and poverty before the advent of modern medicine. The Victorians is a real ensemble play - the group are posed for a Christmas card one moment and creating a weaving machine with just their bodies the next! The play provides a good overview of issues and lots of stimulus for follow-up work.

Bring the history of The Victorian era to life in your school hall with an exciting Play in a Day® experience!
