Play Safe to Stay Safe

Children are starting to use the internet at a younger age, and it is vital that they are computer literate. Now more than ever, it is important for children to be made aware of the dangers of the world wide web so they can enjoy all it has to offer while staying safe!

This Internet Safety Play in a Day for up to 30 Year 1- 3 pupils has been designed specifically to include easily digestable information relevant to their age group. The importance of keeping your personal information safe, online passwords, social networking and chatrooms all feature- encouraging pupils to ask for advice from teachers and parents whenever they are unsure.

Play in a Day is an ideal way to highlight PSHE issues in a safe and comfortable environment. Children are encouraged to speak about their own experiences of the internet and share their existing knowledge about internet safety whilst putting together a performance to share back to peers at the end of the day. The Play in a Day performance by participating pupils helps to open up a dialogue between the whole school about the importance of staying safe online.
