Play In A Day

"We're football crazy... we're football mad… but when it comes to picking teams we just don't get picked… we just get picked on - and there's nothing we can do about it…"

A Play in a Day for up to 30 KS2 or KS3 pupils.

This play examines bullying and racism through the eyes of children. It's only when the other children are forced to play with them by their teachers that they realise their different abilities are an asset. Through working together they realise how similar, how 'united' they really are and decide to give bullying the red card.

Key themes:

-         the value of teamwork

-         self-expression

-         public speaking

-         confidence building

-         increased subject knowledge and awareness of issues

'Children learnt a lot about the issues we were working on during anti-bullying week but also enjoyed the creative activities a great deal. The tutor really tried to engage all children and to make sure that they were all confident enough to speak. We are always happy to have Konflux Theatre work with our children. The creative work improves our children’s communication skills and confidence.' School in London
