Play In A Day

"2016 marks 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl - the world’s number one storyteller. Throughout 2016, there will be celebrations for Roald Dahl 100, focusing on Roald Dahl's gloriumptious stories and characters and delivering a year packed with squiffling surprises and treats for everyone.” -www.roalddahl.com

In order to celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday we have developed a Play in a Day that looks at Roald’s life, the wonderful stories he created and the messages that each story shares. Along the way we'll meet some of the wonderful characters he created.

Play in a Day is a full days participatory workshop for a group of up to 30 pupils. The pupils spend the day in your school hall with one of our a professional workshop leaders putting together their own performance all about the chosen subject. They then present their 15-20 minute performance back to peers and parents at the end of the day so everyone gets to be involved! In all of our workshops, the aim is to increase subject knowledge, develop PSHE skills; build confidence, develop speaking and listening skills and engage in team work. All workshops are also designed to be an enjoyable and memorable experience for your pupils.
