Aimed at primary school pupils (Yrs 4/5/6), Click Safe is a lively and informative new show about staying safe on line and how to deal with cyberbullying. This new addition to Konflux Theatre's acclaimed Play in a Day series forms a perfect complementary piece to their (Year 7 & 8 secondary level) play entitled Wired.

Through a fast-moving and exciting performance, young students explore and tackle a range of internet safety issues. Communication is faster, more direct and more accessible than ever before... and all at the click of a mouse. How brilliant is that? This bright new world, however, can be fraught with difficulty and danger too. Click Safe explores potential pitfalls and suggests ways to minimise risk through this informative and dynamic performance workshop.

Wired

Cyberbullying can take many different forms and it's effect is often devastating. If someone bullies you, you can walk away. When someone cyberbullies you, however, there is NO escape. You feel trapped... and things rapidly get worse.

'Wired' is an accessible and thought-provoking new workshop from Konflux Theatre which and looks at all the above from the perspective of the young people involved whilst promoting the key message of how important it is for people to seek help, advice and to talk about what fears or concerns they may have.

No Laughing Matter

No Laughing Matter looks at aspects of bullying behaviour from the point of view of a group of children in school. Kirsty is teased for being a vegetarian, Tim can't catch a ball and Jenny always does her homework. Some of the other kids call them names and make fun of them for being different, but "…we're not bullies, right? We're just messing - aren't we?"

This hard-hitting Play in a Day has been written in line with DfES guidelines and provides practical suggestions for ways to deal with bullying and is a powerful stimulus for whole school approaches to tackling this issue.

Football Crazy

"We're football crazy... we're football mad… but when it comes to picking teams we just don't get picked… we just get picked on - and there's nothing we can do about it…"

This play examines bullying and racism through the eyes of children. It's only when the other children are forced to play with them by their teachers that they realise their different abilities are an asset. Through working together they realise how similar, how 'united' they really are and decide to give bullying the Red card.
